I am very happy to recommend Esta Powell to you, as a
compassionate, caring and highly skilled practitioner. During a personal
crisis, I experienced Esta as honest, clear and very genuine. She
provided a safe containing relationship that allowed me to process and
work through very painful issues. I think her clarity and understanding
comes from a broad range of experience. As a therapist myself, I do not
believe the level of sensitivity and perceptiveness can be attained
without significant training and personal growth.
English is not Esta's first language, yet the level of communication
felt deep and meaningful. If you are looking for somebody who has
humanity, warmth and wisdom, I believe Esta Powell may well be of
significant benefit to you.- Julia M.
Deep Feeling/Primal Therapy was the best thing that happened to me in 40 years of my
life.
I resolved many issues that have been bothering me. It was so painful; I
didn’t want to see the truth. Primal helped me to find what’s real and
grow.
I tried numerous self-help methods and have been in talk therapy for
years. It didn’t help me. Deep feeling work made a whole difference in
the world. I can breathe now, I can feel, I can enjoy every day of my
life – good or bad. I am a different person.

I have found Esta Powell to be a very effective primal therapist.
She is very knowledgeable and she has the background to bring a variety
of approaches to the client if such is warranted. She is an unusually
good listener and observer. She observes and listens very carefully to
what the client has to say. She is also very kind, considerate, and
accepting toward the client.

Esta is a well-trained therapist, artful with her technique. In my
opinion she reflects a caring and seasoned intuition for what works.

Esta is the perfect therapist for anyone who is serious about healing their past pain and
becoming well. She has had training and experience working in various
modalities, both in Europe and in the U.S. She has herself undergone
intensive deep feeling therapy with some of the best therapists in North
America. In addition, she loves doing emotional facilitation work
and being around people involved in deep-feeling work in some way or
other. As soon as you meet her it becomes obvious that
Deep Feeling/Primal Therapy is not just a job
to her, but an avocation, a passion. This makes her a very motivated
and enthusiastic facilitator, who is as committed to your healing as you
are; a very sharp and fully attentive listener who immediately senses
where you are at or where you are heading, and a quick and very accurate
analyzer of your process. At the same time her compassionate
nature makes her very understanding, supportive and nurturing. She would
be my first choice as a therapist in the area to assist me on my way to
recovering from emotional scars.

Esta has a very sharp sense for listening and hearing where deep inner
blocks lay hidden beneath the surface. She can carve through
confusion and defenses to find hidden traumas and memories.

As a therapist, I would describe Esta as having a true
empathic sensibility, attunement, and a calm, grounded, nurturing
presence. She was able to help me feel safe enough to go into extremely
vulnerable feelings by assuring me that there was enough time and that
she was really there for me, in both verbal and non-verbal ways. My
feelings of trust are also grounded in having witnessed her own primal
work and knowing how committed she is to the practice of primal
integration work. From working with Esta, I gained a new imprint of
having early needs met in a generous and loving way.

Testimonials from PSYCHODRAMA Groups
My experience using psychodrama and
primal is like a sequence of doors (rather than one) to access old
traumas. Any door opened is a distinct path leading to that pain which
is waiting to be released.
The warm-up exercises, observations
of and participation in others’ experiences plus my personal motivation
to become more healthy, helped accelerate my experience of deep inner
healing.
I look forward to the next workshop.
- Ron S., Cleveland, Ohio
I attended Esta’s Psychodrama
weekend workshop and it was really great! We each got to do at least one
scene and it was intense and emotional and healing. By ‘doing a scene’ I
mean that we picked a scene from either present life, a dream, a
childhood memory or whatever to work on (most were childhood scenes).
Then we picked people from the group to play the other people in the
scene (including ourselves). Then we acted it out.
It was emotional for everyone
involved in the scene – not just the one whose scene it was. The whole
thing was really cool, and a lot of healing took place.
- JJ, Centreville, Virginia
Unlike traditional talk therapy
groups, the psychodrama workshop really brought alive the people and
places in my past that caused me pain. It helped me to not only replay
things as they were, but as they could and should have been. This
allowed me to get in touch with parts of myself unknown to me before but
very crucial to healing, like a bratty, happy, mischievous five-year old
princess who feels entitled.
Psychodrama is clearly a very useful
adjunct and catalyst to any therapy.

I have been involved with Primal
therapy as a growth tool for over 30 years. Esta is one of the most
effective feelings facilitators I have ever met. She doesn't push, she
encourages...
"Clearing the Past...Creating the
Future" is not just a motto for her, she lives the process and helps as
a good friend.
