Individual Sessions

Sessions take place in a comfortable, private room. If you prefer just to talk, we will sit and discuss your concerns. For feeling-focused work you may want to lie on a mat to help focus on your body sensations, perceptions and feelings. There are tissues, blankets, pillows, foam-covered bats and other materials to support your work.

Phone Sessions

We offer telephone sessions for individuals unable to see us in person, or for those who want to work anonymously. Phone sessions will help if you can't find a therapist in your community or, for any reason feel more comfortable keeping a safe distance. If you would like to set up a phone session, please call (614)893-3527.

Couples Counseling

Very often conflict with loved ones pushes us to explore ourselves and work on our individual problems. Sometimes it is very beneficial to work in a couple’s session. We have extensive experience counseling couples and finds this type of work very effective.

Psychodrama Weekend Workshops

Psychodrama is a group therapy method in which participants explore internal conflicts through acting out their emotions instead of just talking about them.  In psychodrama each person becomes a therapeutic agent for others in the group.

A given session (typically 60-90 minutes) focuses on a single participant, known as the protagonist. Protagonists examine their relationships while interacting with the other participants and the leader. This is done using specific techniques, including doubling, role reversals, mirroring, etc.  Psychodrama creates an internal restructuring of dysfunctional beliefs and behaviors, and it challenges the participants to discover new answers to some situations and become more spontaneous and independent.

Although a primary application of psychodrama has traditionally been as a form of group therapy, psychodrama offers a powerful approach to any teaching and learning situation, as well as to developing interpersonal skills.

Group Work

It is often helpful to continue the self-exploration process in a group setting. The group becomes a “sample” of the outside world, reproducing conditions of interpersonal relationships and styles of interaction. It helps us to face and resolve our issues in more effective ways.

Intensives

If you are experienced in deep emotional work and think that your process would benefit from an intensive, or if you live far away and might want to stay in locally for some time to do feeling work, we can discuss this opportunity.
