I have Master's degree in Psychology and practice under the
supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. Currently I am pursuing
my Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology at Walden University.
My background is in Special Education and Psychology. I have over 21
years experience as a psychologist in
Europe and psychology assistant the U.S., and specialized training in Hypnotherapy, Psychosynthesis,
Gestalt Therapy, Inner Child Work, Psychodrama, EMDR and Primal Therapy.
I was a Board
Member and the Newsletter Editor of the International Primal Association
(2004-2011).
I have helped clients with a variety of life issues including trauma,
grief, crisis, relationship and marital challenges, hopelessness, and existential problems. I was a long-time
featured columnist for a leading Lithuanian newspaper, in which I
addressed a wide range of public mental health issues. Also I worked
with groups, conducted workshops to train public health professionals in
effective communication and conflict resolution.
In my training years I was deeply influenced by Carl Rogers’s
non-directive humanistic approach to healing; Virginia Satir’s creative
understanding how family structure influence our lives; Jacob Moreno’s
contribution developing psychodrama - potential of "staging” our
internal conflicts and releasing old hurts; Abraham Maslow’s ideas about
human needs and the influence of strong extraordinary emotional
experiences for human growth; and Viktor Frankl’s contributions
answering one of the most important questions of human existence – the
search for meaning…
Do
you believe your life can be better? So do I. My clients are generally
high functioning individuals who are committed to the process of
therapy. I am committed to their goal and their success. I
am dedicated to providing a safe environment for you to self discover
the powerful process of giving your life new awareness and definition.
